In this article, I'm going to show you guys my YouTube video on which I'm practicing an English adjective 'be used to'. Here you go.
I learned this adjective can be used when something or doing something is familiar to me because I do it often or know it well. Example sentences are such as, 'I'm used to English.' or 'I'm used to speaking English.'
There're some points to be careful to use 'be used to'.
Firstly, the pronunciation is different from 'used', the past form of a verb 'use'. The 'd' of an adjective 'used' is pronounced by 't' sound, but the 'd' of the past form 'used' is pronounced by 'd' sound.
Secondly, an adjective 'be used to' is followed by nouns or gerunds, but a modal form 'used to' is merely followed by present tenses, a.k.a the presents.
An adjective 'be used to' might common in English, right? This is useful but also sometimes mixed up with a modal verb 'used to' easily & it might be just a little difficult to use.
Anyway, that's it from me today. How've my article & English? Thank you for reading, I really can't thank you enough & don't know what to say to you guys. I really hope you guys read my next English article if you feel like. Until next time, cheers.
